The NS2589 Bulwark Chocks are cast steel chocks. The mooring chocks are the bulwark mounted types and are made according to the NS 2589 standard. They are approved by the Panama Canal Commission (PCC). There is no any stiffening plate around the chocks, so there are two sizes for the NS2589 chock without too much SWL. The Nominal Size of 300*250mm is designed as a single chock in PCC and shall be capable of withstanding a strain of 445KN on a towing wire.
