Basic Introduction of HYF-N1 Type Insulated Life Jackets
This type of insulated life jacket is made of foam rubber, immersion suits serve to prevent the loss of body heat when submerged in cold water. They shall be provided for every person assigned to the crew of the rescue boat, and at least three these immersion suits shall be provided for each open-type lifeboat on the ship.
Features of HYF-N1 Type Insulated Life Jackets
- According to SOLAS, as amended,
- The immersion suit is designed to be worn without a life jacket.
- After immersing in 0°C to +2°C calm water for 6 hours, the body core temperature shall not fall more than 2°C.
- It is equipped with a life jacket light, whistle, buddy line, and lifting becket.
